Singita Lowveld Trust (SLT) is Singita’s non-profit conservation and community development partner in the Greater Kruger National Park region in South Africa. Through dedicated conservation efforts, the Singita Lowveld Trust contributes to Singita’s 100-year purpose to preserve large areas of African wilderness for future generations.
Our biodiversity projects focus on maintaining healthy, well-functioning ecosystems and habitats in the reserves in which Singita operates. These ecosystems are vital for the protection of a diverse range of wildlife, including species of conservation concern, such as rhinos, leopards, lions, wild dogs and vultures.
We are committed to building partnerships with communities living alongside wilderness areas to ensure they gain from tourism and conservation. To this end, we support education and enterprise development programmes, creating a foundation for shared, sustainable benefits and lasting socio-economic progress.
This exciting partnership marks a significant step towards achieving the SLT’s long-term community partnership goal - assisting neighbouring rural communities whilst supporting a new generation of local, young professional chefs into the tourism and hospitality sector, enabling them to thrive in these careers well into the future.
